Additional DUI Patrols for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend
March 15, 2013
Washington law enforcement agencies are adding extra DUI patrols this weekend in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day. Although St. Patrick’s Day is on Sunday this year, police will be patrolling heavily on Friday through Sunday. This effort is being coordinated throughout the state by Target Zero Managers with support from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
The Washington State Liquor Control Board will be visiting local bars to educate them on the extra DUI patrols. Officers will also hand out cards with information about taxi service that bars can share with patrons.
If you are planning on going out for a pint this weekend, be sure to be safe and always designate a sober driver or call a taxi. If you or anyone you know is involved in a DUI, contact Scott Robbins.
